About Us

Our work is vital to break the cycle of poverty by ensuring access to education, healthcare, and livelihoods for marginalized communities in Andhra Pradesh.

Education, Cultural, and Health Organization (ECHO), established in 2006, is a respected community welfare NGO in Andhra Pradesh. We work across Anantapur, Kurnool, Sri Sathya Sai, and Kadapa districts, focusing on the most vulnerable tribal, Dalit, and marginalized communities. Our initiatives span child labour rehabilitation, healthcare, eye care, safe drinking water, and sanitation. We also empower communities through skill development, livelihood promotion, SHGs, and rehabilitation for the differently abled. Education remains at our core, with bridge schools, inclusive education, and child sponsorship programs. Guided by compassion and sustainability, ECHO stands as a symbol of empowerment, dignity, and hope for disadvantaged populations.

Tailoring Program

On 20-03-2025, our society conducted a vocational training program in tailoring and embroidery for rural and economically weaker section girls. Every year, around 50 girls are trained, and so far, more than 200 girls have benefitted from this initiative. After completing the training, free sewing machines are distributed to poor and needy girls to support their livelihood. Many have found employment in tailoring shops, while others have successfully started their own tailoring units. Through this programme, our society continues to empower women and promote self-reliance in remote rural villages.

Literacy Program

The program was launched with the primary aim of eradicating illiteracy among rural communities by spreading the importance of literacy. Awareness was created through village meetings and wall writings that highlighted the value of education. This campaign was carried out across 10 villages, reaching and benefiting approximately 1,500 people. By promoting literacy, the program strives to empower individuals with knowledge, skills, and confidence to lead better lives.

Health Education for Women and Children

A special health education camp was organized with women from ten villages in the district, where around 150 women and children participated. The training focused on important topics such as child nutrition, balanced family diets, safe drinking water, prevention of water-borne diseases, and maintaining personal, domestic, and environmental hygiene. To make the sessions effective, posters and group discussions were used as learning tools. As part of the program, bread, fruits, and essential medicines were distributed to poor and needy children and women in rural villages. Our staff also identified vulnerable families and ensured they received proper health support and medicines.
